Food Garden

Food, learning and growing in the garden 

Our school food garden began in 2020 in partnership with Cultivating Community. Our Grade 3-4 students have weekly hands -on classes in the garden with Joanna, our Garden Educator. Students have been involved in every stage of site investigation, designing and building our new food garden and continue to care for the garden each week.  

Our program aims to: 

• Provide students with the practical skills and knowledge required to grow food.
• Support staff to connect the outdoor learning to the curriculum in the classroom.
• Strengthen the school community through growing and sharing fresh food.
